Lending a Hand

Last week Wednesday, a few coworkers/friends of mine took the morning to help out at a sort of ‘end of school luau’ for a group of special needs kids. I was in charge of playing baseball with them :0   Even though I dont like baseball very much, I had a blast. Once they’d hit the ball, they were supposed to run around the bases, but they were so excited that usually they would just run around randomly while I chased them with the ball.

A Negative

The only bad thing that came out of it was me stepping in a mound of fire ants. I didn’t even know, until my foot started to tingle, and I looked down and my foot was completely covered with them!! Little bastards (the ants, not the kids).

In Summary

Overall, it was an awesome experience. I’m looking forward to this Saturday, where we are helping build a playground for geriatrics (just kidding, its for more kids).
